The University of South Florida College of Engineering was established in 2000, making it one of the newer engineering colleges in the country. The college initially had just three departments — electrical engineering, civil and environmental engineering, and mechanical engineering. Over the years, the college has grown to include eight additional departments – biomedical engineering, chemical and biotechnology engineering, computer science and engineering, industrial and management systems engineering, materials science and engineering, oceanography and coastal sciences, renewable energy and sustainability studies, and transportation technology.
The college also offers a variety of degree programs to meet the needs of students from all backgrounds.
