The University of Oklahoma College of Engineering has a long and distinguished history. Founded in 1892, the college has been integral to the development of the university as a whole. The college began as the School of Applied Sciences, and it offered courses in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and mining engineering. The University of Oklahoma College of Engineering offers a wide range of engineering programs. The admissions statistics for the college are very competitive.
