Cleveland State University Fenn College of Engineering has a long and rich history, dating back to 1915 when it was founded as the Fenn College of Applied Science. Located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, the college was established by Leonard C. Ferguson to provide technical and scientific education for local students. In 1965, the college merged with Cleveland State University and became known as the Fenn College of Engineering. In its early days, the college offered basic engineering courses in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and civil engineering. Over time, more specialized programs were added such as chemical engineering and computer science.
Today, the college offers a wide range of programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels in disciplines such as biomedical engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering, materials science and engineering and many other areas of study.
